Update on the research: Dr. Lyons let me know that the Research is Divided into 3 Phases. Phase 1 is complete. Phase 2 is scheduled to begin this month (November). Phase 3, which is the part her people work on, does not have an ETA as it is dependent on the completion of Phase 2 and the availability of time and resources.
Phase 1 & 2 involve the actual sequencing of the genome. Phase 3 is the analysis of all the data and information to look for potential genetic variants. This is the phase that Dr. Lyons's people work on and the most time consuming piece.
